Trigger Point’s latest event at IM Florida starting of windy and cold but the weather began to clear and brought many enthusiastic racers to the IM Village. The TP booth turned out to be a great success. We had several visitors that came to the booth with severe Plantar Fasciitis. Some were in such bad shape they shuffled into the booth unable to walk without pain. After spending a couple minutes in the booth rolling out they left feeling like a new person.
With just over 2,200 athletes taking to the water and over 1,000 first timers the 10th annual IM Florida went into full gear. Under sunny skies with calm water and little wind the race conditions could not have been better.
Tom Evan of Penticton, BC, who has used the TP products, took the win on the men’s side, smashing the course record in the process. Evans finished with an overall time of 8:07:59, well ahead of the previous record of 8:21:29 and twenty seconds better than his previous personal best. Evans was in the first group out of the water and proceeded to build his lead for the remainder of the race.
