WHIRLPOOL IRONMAN 70.3 STEELHEAD

JACKSON FINISHES 2ND OVERALL AND SETS NEW BIKE COURSE RECORD

Heather Jackson delivered another strong performance in Michigan at the Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead event yesterday, finishing second overall with her strongest race time of the season, 4:18:51. After coming out of the water in 3rd place, 5:34 behind swim leader Kelly Williamson, the super cyclist Jackson dropped the hammer on the bike and rode an impressive 4:18:34, giving her the fastest bike split of the day and a new course record over current course record holder, Samantha Warriner (NZ). Jackson backed her bike split with a 1:25:59 run-off and held on for an impressive 2nd place finish over race winner Kelly Williamson.

Nice job Heather, making Trigger Point proud!
