We’ve Revamped our Educational Classes!

We have gotten some questions lately on the various classes and educational opportunites that Trigger Point Therapy offers. Keep reading on if you would like to learn more about the differences in our class offerings!

Myofascial Compression Techniques-U6 Oriented:

Ultimate 6 Fundamentals (2 hours): This hands-on course will allow you to take your knowledge of Trigger Point Performance Therapy to the next level by implementing Myofascial Compression Techniques into your daily routine. Our experts will define and work through six major areas of the body that we feel are key players in the human biomechanical chain. We will then build upon this U6 foundation by targeting other specific areas, resulting in even greater efficiency of movement.

* Target Audience: Consumers, Athletes
* Requirements: You MUST bring a hip & lower back kit (at least 1 TP Massage Ball, Baller Block, Footballer, Quadballer) to class.
* Cost: $99
* CECs: none

Ultimate 6+ (4.5 hour): This hands-on course will introduce you to the “Ultimate 6” areas of the body that we feel are key players in the human biomechanical chain. We will build upon this U6 foundation by targeting other specific “plus” areas resulting in even greater efficiency of movement. This course is perfect for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone wanting to understand how to reach their body’s potential through the TPPT methodology. Participants will learn to administer the manipulations and methodologies on themselves.

* Target Audience: Trainers, Athletes
* Requirements: Hip & lower back kit is required for class – you may bring your own or pre-purchase a discounted kit (that you receive at class) with registration.
* Cost:
o Class fee: $199
o Class kit can be purchased at discount for $100 at the time of registration.
* CECs: ACE – .4 CECs, NASM – .4 CEUs, ISSA – 4 CEUs, ACSM – .4 (accepts ACE CECs)

Ultimate 6+ for Fitness Industry Professionals (8 hour): This hands-on course will allow you take your knowledge of Trigger Point Performance Therapy to the next level by implementing Myofascial Compression Techniques into your daily routine and workouts with your clients. Our experts will define and work through the six major areas of the body that we feel are key players in the human biomechanical chain. We will then build upon this U6 foundation by targeting other areas resulting in even great efficiency of movement. You will learn how to teach the specific manipulations to your clients and ensure that they are getting the greatest benefit from their time and effort. This class will be hands-on, requiring participants to demonstrate their knowledge through a practical exam at the end of class and an online exam following the training.

* Target Audience: Trainers, Clinicians, Fitness Professionals
* Requirements: Credentials; Hip & lower back kit is required for class – you may bring your own or pre-purchase a discounted kit (that you receive at class) at registration.
* Cost:
o Class fee: $299
o Class kit can be purchased at discount for $100 at the time of registration.
* CECs: in process

Myofascial Compression Techniques-SMRT-CORE Oriented:

SMRT-CORE Fundamentals (2 hour): This hands-on course will introduce you to the SMRT-CORE Movement Prep, Essentials, Total Body Tension, and Flush exercises. This course is perfect for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone wanting to understand how to reach their body’s potential through the TPPT methodology of Myofascial Compression Techniques (MCT) with the GRID. Participants will also participate in a 30-minute SMRT-CORE workout.

* Target Audience: Consumers, Athletes
* Requirements: You MUST bring The GRID to class.
* Cost: $99
* CECs: none

SMRT-CORE for Certified Personal Trainers (8 hour): This interactive, hands-on course provides the education and practical application necessary to successfully integrate SMRT-CORE programming into individual training sessions. Participants will learn:

* Advantages of SMRT-CORE programming
* Components of SMRT-CORE
* Proper execution of movements
* SMRT-CORE programming
* How to implement SMRT-CORE into different markets
* Effective coaching and cueing techniques
* Contraindications & GRID safety

* Target Audience: Certified Personal Trainers
* Requirements: Credentials; The GRID is required for class – you may bring your own or pre-purchase a discounted GRID (that you receive in class) at registration.
* Cost
o Class fee: $250
o The GRID can be purchased at a 20% discount for $32 at the time of registration.
* CECs: in process

  1. When and how often does one do the therapy. I have the Ultimate 6. I believe I heard before going to bed. Is this correct. I wanted to be clear as I was thinking before a long bike ride or after.

    • Trigger Point’s programming therapy model is called Pre-Gen and Re-Gen. Pre-Gen is done prior a workout or ride to prepare the tissue’s tolerance for the demands of exercise.

      Re-Gen is done an hour after exercise when the body has cooled down or an hour before bed to restore proper length-tension relationships as the body recovers.

      The Ultimate 6 programming would best be treated as the habit of brushing your teeth. Consistent and proper use with regularity will yield the best results for any active lifestyle.
