Trigger Point Performance raises the stakes at CapTexTri by equipping pros with the coolest trend in Triathlon, Cool Point™.
Plus $2,000 in cash bonuses awarded to the top male and female finishers who use Cool Point™ to outrun the heat!
Austin, TX (May 25, 2012)—Cool Point, Not a secret weapon anymore!
The 4oz cool gel pack called Cool Point is seen held high in the hands of Conrad “The Caveman” Stoltz as he won last weekend’s ITU Cross-Triathlon World Championships. Cool Point used to be Stoltz’s secret weapon for racing in the heat… used to be! On Monday at the CapTexTri the playing field will be leveled as all pros will be provided Cool Point as they exit Transition 2 and sprint to the finish.
Studies show palm cooling reduces the mental and physical stress that heat places on the body. Athletes using a “cool palms” strategy can maintain cooler core temperatures and improve pace-setting, a key to dealing with the Texas heat.
As a dedication to the athletes, Trigger Point Performance CEO Cassidy Phillips is providing Cool Points to all pros and offering $2,000 in cash bonuses to the top male and female athletes who cross the finish line with Cool Point raised high, “I’ve raced Triathlon for 30 years and I’ve always had a difficult time racing in the Texas heat. This is Trigger Point’s contribution, not only to the athletes, but to this great event. We want to let athletes do what they do best – RACE!”
Pros may demo Cool Point outside of Saturday’s Pro Meeting.
All athletes and spectators are welcome to demo Cool Point at Sunday’s Packet Pick-up Expo and Monday’s Race Festival @ the Trigger Point Performance Booth!!!
